La Junta to perform all ages show finally!!! - March 14, 2006
Aprill 22nd, La Junta will be performing in Santa Fe at a very special all ages show at the Center for Contemporary Arts. The show came after lead singer of La Junta, Nick Pena wrote two songs for an art class at UNM. He submitted the songs for the "Land Mines" art exhibit and out of 100s of entries his was selected as one of the top 20 entries. Pena explained his vision of his music as art saying "I'm trying to push the art world into thinking what 'could be' art, as opposed to what 'is' art", the CCA asked him to perform his songs at the "Land Mines" exhibit in April. This then elevated into a full out, all ages show, a first for the band. Be sure to check it out! (check back later for specific time)
